COMRADE ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE ADMINISTRATION COMPLETES ONE YEAR IN OFFICE

ONE YEAR OF FOUNDATIONAL SUCCESS
 At the inception of the administration, federal monthly allocation had dropped from N4billion to around N1.6billion per month. The Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) was less than 300million Naira monthly. A year later, the IGR hovers around a billion a month!
 31 roads have been rehabilitated.
 3 major roads contracts have been awarded which haven’t began in earnest due to the nonstop rains.
 About 3, 500 youths have been employed under the Edo Youths Employment Scheme (EDO YES).
 Staff Audit and Verification Exercise has been carried out to verify and authenticate the accurate number of staff on the state government’s payroll as well as to ensure promotions as and when due.
 The State is blazing a path in Information and Communications Technology as a unit has been created under the governor’s office with the sole responsibility of incorporating ICT into every facet of governance, reducing bureaucratic bottlenecks; enhance staff efficiency, quality delivery of services as well as a paperless administration.
 Schools have been earmarked for massive renovation. Schools that engage in examination malpractices have been shut down by the state ministry of education.
 Security has been beefed up in the state leading to a drastic reduction in the incidence of kidnapping and other social vices.
 Massive beautification of the King’s square (Ring Road).

Edo State may not have reached where it should be BUT it is definitely NOT where it was before the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole led administration came on board!!
